After far too many hours sitting in front of the TV or the computer listening to one piece of bad news after another, Elisa Peimer firmly resolved to focus instead on the things that bring her joy. It's so easy to get lost in the stuff that makes us anxious or unhappy. We have the strength, and perhaps even the responsibility, to place more importance on the positive parts of our life: the people we love, the natural world, and our own self-actualization. If we take a moment to breathe and tune out the insanity, we can find the power to make our lives what we want them to be.
